Privacy Policy
How RankingHacks.com collects, processes, and protects your data. GDPR-compliant.
Last updated: May 2026.
This page explains what data RankingHacks.com collects, why, and what your rights are over it. The site is operated by Andreas De Rosi (see the Imprint for legal contact details).
If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] or use the contact form and I’ll explain.
Short version
- The website itself is a static site. There are no logins, no comments, no user accounts, no behavioral tracking.
- The only first-party data the site collects is what you voluntarily submit through the contact form (name, email, message) and the newsletter form (email address).
- Server logs from Cloudflare (the CDN/host) capture standard request metadata — IP, user agent, URL, response code — for security and abuse prevention.
- No third-party advertising, no cross-site behavioral tracking, no fingerprinting, no advertising cookies.
What I collect, when, and why
Contact form
When you submit the contact form at /contact/, the following is sent to my inbox:
- The name and email address you provided
- The subject (if you filled it in) and message text
- Submission timestamp, your IP address, and user-agent string (for spam protection and to verify legitimate submissions)
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)): processing is necessary to respond to your inquiry and to protect the service from abuse.
Storage: messages live in my email inbox indefinitely unless you ask me to delete them. The intermediate webhook (n8n) does not store the content of submissions persistently.
Newsletter signup
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address (and any other fields you choose to provide) is sent to my newsletter provider (Beehiiv) and stored there for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Beehiiv’s own privacy policy is at https://www.beehiiv.com/privacy.
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): your explicit consent at the moment of signup.
Server logs (Cloudflare)
The site is served via Cloudflare’s CDN/Pages infrastructure. Cloudflare logs include IP address, request URL, HTTP method, response code, user-agent, and timestamp. These logs are used for security (rate limiting, DDoS protection) and basic operational monitoring. Cloudflare’s privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
Analytics
This beta site does not currently run analytics. When analytics is added later (likely Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, no cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking), this section will be updated.
Cookies
The static site itself does not set cookies. If embedded third-party content (e.g. YouTube videos) is loaded on a page, that third party may set cookies — those will be disclosed inline at the relevant embed.
Who I share your data with
- My email inbox provider (Titan) — for receiving contact form submissions and general email.
- Beehiiv — for newsletter delivery, if you subscribe.
- Cloudflare — as the CDN/host, transient processing of all requests.
- Service providers I use to operate the business (e.g. accounting, tax filing) — only if and when legally required.
I do not sell, rent, or trade personal data with anyone. I do not run advertising networks on this site.
International transfers
Some service providers (Cloudflare, Beehiiv) are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, transfers are covered by either Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data I hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data (right to be forgotten), subject to legal retention obligations
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from the newsletter)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Germany, the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit)
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. I’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and I don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the site, contact me and I’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes materially, the “Last updated” date at the top will change and (where appropriate) a notice will appear on the site. Substantive changes affecting newsletter subscribers will also be communicated by email.
